Common Core State Standards

The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) are a set of learning standards in English Language Arts and Mathematics. The CCSS has gained the approval of more than 45 out of 50 states in the U.S. as well as the District of Columbia, American Samoan Islands, Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands. The goal is to ensure consistency in learning expectations nationwide and prepare students for college and careers.
